Skills USA State Competition

Skills USA state competitors met in April, and many CCTE students emerged having won places in the top three. Congratulations to:
Third place winner: Dilon Slider for Industrial Motor Control
Second place winner: Blair Harman for Industrial Motor Control
First place winners: Phoebe Shuttleworth for Screen Printing, Colby Barclay for Dye Sublimation, Hanne Imes for Welding Sculpture, the team of Cody Pegg, Briley Stullenbarger, Rickey Cutter, and Austin Dudly for Teamwork, and the team of Aleena Teeter, Grace McGraw, Emily Welch, Raegan Case, Brooke Bryan, Jasmine Sanchez, and Dominic Sanchez for Opening And Closing Ceremonies.

This club is open to all CCTE students. They host a variety of social events throughout the year. Students gain valuable skills that are used to pursue careers.

The national contest will be June 25 through 29.

Students who have qualified are advised to speak with their skill instructors to find out how they should prepare and what the competition will entail.
